Course Overview:

This course is about the protection of all, service users, service providers and the wider community. HSE research shows that cases of occupationally acquired infections are increasing and that numbers reported are considerable underestimates because most infections will only be reported if they require medical attention. Many secondary infections are mild and people get better without any need for medical treatment.

Course Content:

• Transmission Based Precautions

• Healthcare-associated infections

• Transmission of infections

• Occupational exposure

• MRD management

• Cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of equipment

Duration:

4 hours (1 Days)

• 1 year Certificate Validity

• 4.5 DHA CME Points
